Terms of Service

Effective date: June 19, 2026

Important — No Tax or Legal Advice

Tax Threshold Radar is a data monitoring and alerting tool. It displays factual threshold percentages derived from data you provide. It does not constitute tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, or any other professional advisory service. The output of the software — including threshold progress bars, percentage figures, and jurisdiction estimates — is for informational purposes only and may not reflect your actual tax obligations.

You are solely responsible for determining your tax obligations and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA), tax attorney, or other licensed professional before making any registration, filing, or compliance decision. Tax Threshold Radar and its owners expressly disclaim any liability arising from reliance on the software's output for tax compliance purposes.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Tax Threshold Radar ("the Service") is operated by an individual developer (sole proprietor), not a corporation or registered legal entity. References to "we", "us", "our", or "the Operator" throughout these Terms refer to that individual.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including subscribers and visitors.

2. Description of Service

Tax Threshold Radar provides a browser-based tool that allows users to import CSV exports from payment processors (currently Stripe and Paddle), parse them locally in their browser, and view estimated progress toward VAT and sales tax thresholds across various jurisdictions. The Service uses publicly available regulatory threshold data.

The Service does not file tax returns, remit taxes, provide legal opinions, or give individualized tax advice. See the disclaimer above.

3. Subscription and Payment

3.1 Fees. Access to the Service requires a paid subscription at the price displayed on the pricing page at the time of purchase (currently $49/month). All fees are in USD and exclusive of applicable taxes.

3.2 Billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on each renewal date.

3.3 Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal or by emailing aka209859@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months, except where required by applicable law.

3.4 Price Changes. We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Local-First Data Processing

The Service processes your CSV files exclusively within your browser. No financial or transaction data is transmitted to our servers. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the CSV data you import. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy of threshold calculations derived from data you provide.

5. No Tax or Legal Advice (Expanded)

The information provided by the Service, including but not limited to threshold progress percentages, jurisdiction estimates, and alert notifications, is provided "as is" for general informational purposes only. It is based on publicly available regulatory data and the CSV data you supply.

The Service does not account for: your specific legal entity structure; exemptions or special rules applicable to your business; changes in tax law after our last data update; the nuances of your specific transactions; or any jurisdiction-specific rules not yet incorporated into our threshold database.

You acknowledge that you have not relied on any output of the Service as tax or legal advice, and that all decisions regarding tax registration, filing, and compliance are your own responsibility.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract threshold data from the Service in bulk
  • Share your account credentials or subscription access with third parties not covered by your plan
  • Misrepresent output from the Service as professional tax advice

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, copy, and threshold data compilations in the Service are the exclusive property of Tax Threshold Radar and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own internal business purposes during an active subscription.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THRESHOLD DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR UP TO DATE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATOR OF TAX THRESHOLD RADAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, TAX PENALTIES, FINES, OR COMPLIANCE COSTS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Operator of Tax Threshold Radar from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable tax law or regulation.

11. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Governing Jurisdiction — to be specified prior to launch], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

Note: Consult a lawyer to select the appropriate governing jurisdiction for your business before launch.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
