Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 19, 2026

Core Privacy Guarantee — Local-First Architecture

Your financial data never leaves your device. When you upload a Stripe or Paddle CSV export on the Tax Threshold Radar dashboard, that file is parsed entirely within your browser using the browser's native File API and the PapaParse library running locally. The file contents — including transaction amounts, dates, and any other fields — are never transmitted to, stored on, or processed by Tax Threshold Radar's servers. No copy of your revenue data exists outside your browser tab.

1. Who We Are

Tax Threshold Radar is operated by an individual developer (sole proprietor), not a corporation or registered legal entity. References to "we", "us", or "our" throughout this policy refer to that individual operator. The Service is available at taxthresholdradar.com.

For questions about this policy, contact the operator at aka209859@gmail.com.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account & Payment Data. When you subscribe, you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted checkout page. Stripe collects your name, email address, and payment card details directly. We receive from Stripe only a checkout.session.id and subscription status. We do not store full card numbers or CVCs.

2.2 Email Address. If you join our waitlist or contact us, we store your email address to send product updates and support replies. You may unsubscribe at any time.

2.3 Usage & Analytics. We may collect anonymized page-view data (e.g., via Vercel Analytics or a privacy-respecting analytics provider) to understand how the product is used. This data contains no personally identifiable financial information.

2.4 CSV / Financial Data — NOT Collected. As stated above, CSV files processed in the dashboard are handled exclusively in your browser. We collect zero bytes of your revenue or transaction data.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provision and maintain your subscription access
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, access confirmations)
  • Send product update emails (opt-out available at any time)
  • Improve the product using anonymized usage analytics
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Stripe. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

Vercel. Our application is hosted on Vercel. Server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) may be retained by Vercel per their data retention policy.

No other data processors receive your personal data unless we notify you and, where required, obtain your consent.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store a lightweight access flag (ttr_access) that records whether you have completed a Stripe checkout. This flag contains no financial data — only a boolean and a timestamp. It is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us.

We may set strictly necessary session cookies for CSRF protection if server-side authentication is added in a future version. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your email address and Stripe subscription metadata for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years thereafter, as required for financial record-keeping under applicable law. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never passes through our servers. The Local-First architecture means your most sensitive data — your revenue figures — never reaches our infrastructure at all.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email aka209859@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

Tax Threshold Radar is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by emailing subscribers. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
